Our Big Brother game, 24/7 has now been running for several months, and has proved to be a great success! We are currently working on a Fast version of this game as well as bringing the 24/7 Challenges to the Individual Challenge area so you can practice! We are currently in talks with a potential partner and hope to bring you more news on this exciting new venture soon! Stay close to the Talk page for more info!
We have now completed around 200 games of Survival, and it has been a huge success! We are currently developing a fast version, which should take around 90 minutes to complete. We have made some big changes to the site, many of them behind the scenes, but all designed to improve the site's functionality and performance. We are soon to launch Zwooper Chat, so you will be able to talk to other players in real time in groups and also within private chat rooms you create yourself. Zwooper group games continue to be popular, and Trishy's design game is ongoing and appears to be producing some talented avatar designers! The Zwooper Song Search has become a regular favourite on the site, hosted by Kris. Zwoopers Got Talent is about to launch Season 2, and Sassys Big BrotherGame is now underway. Check out the TalkPage for more information or check the latest edition of Zwooper News - available in the Newsletters tab on the top right of the Talk Page.

Christmas 2013 - New Year 2014
Survival opened to all players just before Christmas, and at the time of writing, we are currently loading our 70th game. Response has been amazing, with almost totally positive feedback about the game. Of course there are a few changes that will be required over time, but we are confident we have built the best game we could, and have remained as faithful to to the TV show as we possibly could. We have a whole host of plans for 2014, so stick around, the fun has only just begun!

Play Survivor online - Zwooper's version of TV's biggest game show - LIVE!
Although we planned for a December 1st launch we began uploading the new game on the 30th November, and as everything went so smoothly, decided to have our first test game that afternoon, and having completed it without any major problems, launched our first full game on the evening of the 30th - a day early. Currently we have 3 games in progress with our thrid one filling nicely. Although the game is open to VIPs only at present, all players can watch the games unfold and eavesdrop on the tribes' conversations in the Tribal Chat, by visiting the Current Games page, accessed from the Survival Home page. We do have one or two small features still to add to the game, which we will be working on during the 2 or 3 week testing phase, with a pre-Christmas launch planned for all players.
It has taken us a while to complete the game, and we hope you enjoy it and feel it worth the wait. Join now if you are a VIP, or take a sneeky peek behind the scenes and watch the drama unfold as a spectator!

Play Survivor online - Zwooper's version of TV's biggest game show - UPDATE!
We are very busy at Zwooper working on Survival, and have started early testing of the game. We have almost completed the live chat and game News Feed, and will be doing another round of testing soon. Several things have taken us much longer than expected, so we have revised our expected launch date slightly to early/mid November. This will be the VIP launch, and will be Stage 1 of the game. One or two features will then be added during the VIP testing phase, so the finished game can hopefully be released to all players totally complete, a few weeks later.
We know you are all waiting patiently for the big day, so to make the time pass quicker, we will be running a VIP giveaway competition soon, to add to the Halloween Scary Avatar competition also being run at the moment. (FInal held at midnight on October 31st).

Play Survivor online - Zwooper's online version of TV's biggest game show - UPDATE!
We are very busy here at Zwooper HQ working on Survival, and we are aiming to begin testing with our VIP members in around 3 weeks time. I know this is later than our planned launch date, but things have been more complicated than we originally thought, added to some updates to the site that we have had to make, which were unexpected.
@Trishy is hard at work creating a range of Survival themed Avatar outfits, so you can dress appropriately once the games begin. Some of these deisgns will be released shortly, so you will have time to dress your Avatar ready for the big launch!
Initial testing will be carried out by VIP players. We hope that this process will last a maximum of 2 or 3 weeks before the game can be released to all players on Zwooper. The entry fee for Survival will be 25 Chips, so you all have plenty of time to save up for your first game!
The 2 tribes will be randomly created at the start of each game, so if you choose to enter at the same time as your friends, you could end up playing against them or with them - its the luck of the draw! The Survival Individual Challenges will form an important part of the process, so now is also your chance to practice these. The final game in the set, Beachball Bounce, should be launched to VIPs soon.
Thanks for your patience whilst waiting for Survival to be completed, we really are in the final stages, with just a few weeks to go...

Survivor is one of TV's biggest game shows, currently produced each year in the United States and around 12 other countries worldwide. If you want to play Survivor online, Zwooper will shortly be launching its own version called "Survival" and it will feature many of the aspects of the Survivor TV show, including Tribal merges, Daily Challenges, Hidden Immunity Idols, daily voting and a final vote off to decide the winner.
To play our online version of Survivor, you must start by creating a free Zwooper account. You will be awarded 50 Chips right away, (Chips are the Zwooper online currency), which will be more than enough to enter your first game or Survival.
Zwooper has colour levels determined by Game points that are earned throughout the site by competing in the various Challenges. In order to play Survival you must be a purple level player or above (25 points). In order to earn your 25 points, you can play Individual Challenges, where points are awarded each day for the top 10 scores, or by competing in The Incredible Race Game, our version of TV's Amazing Race.
10 players compete in each race, each earning Chips and Points for every game played (unless you finish in 10th place) so you should earn your 25 points in no time!
Why not sign up for your free account now, and start earning Points ready for the big launch in a few weeks time!

Zwooper is currently building its next Adventure, Survival. Survival is based on the TV show Survivor, and is aimed at fans of Survivor who want to join in the fun and play Survivor online. Being able to play Survivor online is obviously going to be different to the real thing, but we are trying to include many of the elements from the Survivor TV show in our online version. To play online Survivor, you will need to compete in challenges every day to help your tribe win. Then you will go on as part of the merged tribe to compete in the final, and win the big prize!

Zwooper is awarding a prize for the Best Profile Page - check the Talk page for more details! We are experiencing some problems today with the server - so please be patient while we sort them out!

Zwooper has successfully launched its Daily Draw, which costs 1 Chip to enter - with a guaranteed minimum win of 2 Chips, and possible wins of up to 1000! We have already had two 1000 Chip wins in the first week! Lots of other wins of 5, 50 and 100 Chips too - oh and a few Bombs of -5! But these are pretty rare - play once a day and you will soon be earning Chips regularly.
We are still working hard on Survival, our online version of the Survivor TV show. We also plan to launch 247, the online version of Big Brother, later in the year. Zwooper is all about online gaming, with lots of Individual Flash games to play, including 3 from the forthcoming game Survival. We hope to launch 3 more Challenges this weekend, and the final 3 for Survival wil launch at the end of August. These will all feature in our online version of Survivor - where you can play challenges, chat and make new friends, and make your way up the rankings page, dressing your Avatar from the amazing Avatar Studio along the way. We are launching more features all the time, and making regular improvements to the site - so keep coming back to see us!

OMGPOP almost got an extra life, but Zynga has said ‘game over’.
Zynga just finalized plans to shut down OMGPOP, the game developer of Draw My Thing it acquired for $200 million in March 2012. But multiple sources familiar with Zynga tell TechCrunch the OMGPOP team was in direct contact with Zynga leadership in an attempt to buy back the site or continue operating it, yet Zynga refused.
Our sources tell us that multiple OMGPOP team members independently tried to buy back the OMGPOP.com site, games, and intellectual property. These team members wanted whatever Zynga was willing to sell, even if that didn’t include the more valuable Draw Something assets or user data. Even more employees offered to work on OMGPOP.com for free. However, Zynga said this would all take too much legal work and wouldn’t agree to sell anything.
Instead, Zynga laid off OMGPOP’s employees, and today said the whole OMGPOP.com site will go dark September 30th.
Several OMGPOP games (excluding the Zynga-rebranded Draw Something and its sequel that shall continue running) will shut down early on August 29th. This includes the games Cupcake Corner, Gem Rush, Pool World Champ and Snoops)
That leaves well over 30,000 monthly active users locked out of the games they enjoy. That’s a bit sad, considering its games were earning a decent amount of money — enough to be run independently of Zynga and make a profit. That will never be, though.
Now let’s be clear. Zynga has to trim the fat. If it doesn’t, it risks the whole company going under, which would displace even more employees and gamers. But refusing to give the axed OMGPOP team a second chance on their own doesn’t exactly inspire a lot of sympathy. Nor does it make it seem like an inviting place to work or sell your gaming startup to. (Article courtesy of: http://techcrunch.com/2013/08/05/omgameoverpop/)

Hope all our players in the US had a great time celebrating last night, and that the hangovers are not too serious! We did some celebrating ourselves last night, as Zwooper made its own little bit of history! After just 36 days since we launched our Beta site we have hit 1 million page views! We had 41,000 individual visits from players in 65 countries with the majority of players staying on the site for over an hour. These statistics are pretty amazing to be honest, and are a credit to the team at Zwooper, including those behind the scenes (you know who you are!) who are helping to make Zwooper what it will become. We have big plans for the future, with our new game Survival! currently being developed with a launch date of September 18th (tbc).

Big Brother is coming! Zwooper's online version of the TV reality show is currently being developed. Called "Twenty Four 7" it will feature many of the aspects of the TV show, and utilise public and private chat rooms where housemates can plot against each other. In the meantime, the 14th series of Big Brother kicks off on Channel 5 (UK) tonight at 9pm (UK Time). The first trailer has aired on Channel 5 already, teasing fans with the words 'What's the secret?' It is believed that the clue may refer to a Secret Story twist, which has been used successfully around the world in other countries' versions of Big Brother. The Secret Story twist involves the housemates trying to discover hidden facts about each other for cash prizes. Emma Willis has replaced Brian Dowling as the host of the main show, while X Factor's Rylan Clark will join her on spinoff series "Bit on the Side". The new series will also see the return of a partial live feed. Two hours of live coverage from the house will air at 7pm every night on 5*. (Courtesy of digitalspy.co.uk)

Well we went live, and after a few last minute problems which delayed things a little, Zwooper was officially born on May 27th! We have around 100 or so Beta players already, who are giving the site a really good test. We will shortly be closing registration, except by invitation only, as we dont want to overload things too soon. We are currently working on a few small fixes, and also concentrating on the blog and chat features, which should be up and running in a few weeks time. After that, and assuming testing has gone OK, registrtation will be open to all and we will begin work on our next Adventure - Survival! based on the TV show Survivor. Have fun on the site and let us know your thoughts and comments via the Feedback ticket system in the top right hand corner of the screen.

Zwooper is about to go live! We aim to push the site onto the www.zwooper.com domain this weekend (May 25th) so we can make a final round of fixes and get some more players online! We will still be in "Beta Test" mode, so expect a few glitches and gremlins, but hopefully we will be able to fix these quickly. During our Beta Test phase (around 4 weeks or so) we hope to complete the Blog, as well as add the new Home page. Please play as much as you can, enjoy the site and report back to us with any problems you have!

The first Canadian version of The Amazing Race will air in July on CTV with “the biggest prize ever awarded for a Canadian television series.” The cash prize in the series will be $250,000. Also in the prize mix will be two 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingrays.
Unlike the current US version of The Amazing Race, in which contestants travel around the world in pursuit of a $1-million prize, the Canadian version of the reality series will follow teams around locations within Canadian borders.
Although details are being kept secret by CTV, some details have leaked out in recent weeks. Contestants have been spotted in Niagara Falls, as they sprinted toward waiting vehicles in the traditional Race start. The following day, Twitter users reported seeing contestants in Vancouver and in Kelowna, B.C.

Well we are getting pretty close to launching our full "Beta" site. When we first started work on this online game site, we had no idea what we were getting ourselves into, and by the time we launch, it will be close to a year since we first talked about it, and 9 months since we started work.
It has been a real team effort, with huge amounts of input from Flash game developers in the UK and China, our technical guru Pawel from Poland, artistic excellence from Trishy and a constant source of ideas from Kris, both based here with me in Spain. Our first stage testers based in the USA, Canada and Eastern Europe have given us invaluable help and advice, all of which has been useful, and their ideas will help us form the future of the site. Our first Adventure will be our simplest game, loosely based on The Amazing Race TV show, which will be followed by further Adventures in the weeks to come. Our new games will be based on successful game show formats "Big Brother" and "Survivor" and will involve strategy and cloak-and-dagger mischief making, as well as testing your on-line gaming skills. We also have plans for an Avatar Beauty Contest, and competitions for budding artists to contribute to the Avatar Studio section of the site. Sign-up, log-in and have fun!!!

The Amazing Race Canada launched in the summer of 2013. Unlike The Amazing Race in the US, which travels the world, the Canadian version will take place totally within Canada, covering some 9000 km of some of the country's most spectacular territory. The Amazing Race Canada will be the 12th international version to launch outside of the United States, joining a list of countries including Asia, Australia, Brazil, China, France, Israel, Latin America, Norway, Philippines, Ukraine and Vietnam, where The Amazing Race is already produced.
Big Brother is a television reality game show based on an originally Dutch TV series of the same name created by producer John de Mol in 1997. The show follows a group of House Guests living together 24 hours a day in the "Big Brother" house, isolated from the outside world but under constant surveillance with no privacy for three months. Since its US television debut in 2000, Big Brother has run continuously with at least one season of the show airing each year. It is currently the second longest running version in the world to have done so, after the Spanish version. On September 19 2012, CBS announced that Big Brother was renewed for its 15th season in summer 2013. The 15th season in the US will air on June 26 2013. The show is currently in prodcution in the following countries: Albania, Canada, Denmark, India, Lithuania, Portgal, Serbia, Spain and the UK.
Survivor is a reality game show, derived from the Swedish television series "Expedition Robinson" originally created in the UK in 1997 by Charlie Parsons. The series premiered on May 31 2000, on CBS. It is hosted by veteran television personality, reporter and one-time game show MC Jeff Probst, who is also an executive producer. The show is also executive produced by Mark Burnett and original creator Charlie Parsons. The show maroons a group of strangers (as one or more tribes) in a desolate location, where they must provide food, water, fire, and shelter for themselves, while competing in challenges to earn either a reward, or an immunity from expulsion from the game in the next of the successive votes for elimination. While much rarer than elimination by vote, medical conditions, such as injury or infection, have eliminated several contestants. The last two or three survivors face a jury composed of the last seven, eight, or nine players voted off. That jury interrogates the final few, and then votes for the winner of the game, the title of Sole Survivor and a million dollar prize.
The American version has been hugely successful. From the 2000–01 season through the 2005–06 season, Survivor was rated amongst the top ten most watched shows. It is commonly considered the leader of American reality TV because it was the first highly rated and profitable reality show on broadcast television in the USA, and is considered one of the best shows of the decade. The series has been nominated for several Emmy Awards, including winning for Outstanding Sound Mixing in 2001, Outstanding Special Class Program in 2002, and was subsequently nominated four times for Outstanding Reality-Competition Program when the category was introduced in 2003. Jeff Probst has won the award for Outstanding Host for a Reality or Reality-Competition Program four consecutive times since the award was introduced in 2008. In 2007, the series was included in Time magazine's list of the 100 greatest TV shows of all-time. Survivor in the USA has been renewed for the 2013–14 television season.
Survivor is currently produced in Belgium, The Netherlands, Croatia, Finland, France, Israel, Italy, Mexico, Norway, The Phillippines, Serbia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, The Ukraine and the USA.
